St David’s will be hosting a free children’s event December 2, from 2-5pm filled with carols, crafts, games and more! Please contact Diana Wamsteeker to register your child(ren) or volunteer. Volunteers are needed for the event, and to prepare craft materials in advance. Thanks!
On Tuesday, November 28 from 7-8pm at St. David’s Presbyterian Church (98 Elizabeth Avenue), please join us as the choral scholars from the Church choir will be giving a recital of classical and contemporary music. Admission is free and a tea and a coffee time will follow the recital. Any and all donations are appreciated and will go into the music ministry at the Church.
Annual Fall Tea! Our one Stall is evolving from just a Bake Stall into a PANTRY STALL! In addition to baked goods, we hope to offer jams, jellies, preserves, Christmas puddings, etc. There is also a possibility that some single/two portion “meals to go” may be available, eg. chili, mac & cheese, soups, etc. An added feature will be a COOKBOOK SALE! So many of us have more cookbooks than we need, while others might like to have new or different ones, this is an opportunity to dispose/add to your collection! Just bring in any cookbooks you no longer use and we’ll make them available at the Sale at a reasonable price. The date is Saturday, November 18th, so get your tickets now ($7 each) from any W. A. member or at the Church Office.
Join us after Church on September 24th, for our first Fellowship Lunch of the year, hosted by St. David’s W. A. Catch up on summer news and activities as you share a meal of Soup, Rolls, Dessert, Tea/Coffee. No admission. A free will offering will be accepted. We look forward to seeing you there!
Food for Thought (university/early career adults) meets Tuesday nights from 7-9pm at 16 Polina Road for a time of food, fellowship and Bible study. Come join us! Welcome back to a new year of Sunday School! The kick-off start date for the year is September 10 and we are excited to begin a new curriculum for the 2017/2018 year entitled Dig In: The Life of Jesus!Digging Into the Life of Jesus leads kids in walking in Jesus’ footsteps from his birth to his resurrection and ascension. Kids don’t just learn about the historical Jesus; they get to know him personally. They’ll discover that Jesus is a real person — a real friend — who makes a difference in their lives today.
