Dissenter’s Path

Saturday, Nov 1, Stephen Bruneau will be leading a guided tour of the “Dissenter’s Path”, starting from the Harborside Park Wharf at 10:00 am.
The “Dissenters Path” is an interpreted walk that traces the 250-year history of the Congregation today known at St.David’s Presbyterian Church. The walk touches on the places and events that shaped the church from its origins in the 1770’s through to its present day. The walk will take the “Main Path” and “Return Loop” (as seen on the map) which is a total of 5km taking around 2+ hours. Opportunities to take short cuts and leave the guided tour are freely available. Paper copies of the map are available outside the church office, while an electronic copy is available at Dissenter’s way map

Art Auction:

Dear Members of the St. David’s Congregation,

This November, St. David’s will be hosting an Art Auction to raise funds in support of our ministries and community outreach. We are reaching out to you, our church family, to help us make this event a success by contributing art pieces that would bring value to the auction.

We are especially seeking:

  • Original artwork (paintings, drawings, prints, and sculptures)
  • Photography and other fine art pieces
  • High-quality, collectible works that could be of interest to buyers

Please note that while we deeply appreciate everyone’s generosity, this particular auction will focus on curated, higher-value art items. That means we won’t be able to include items like used décor, hobby crafts, or pieces that are more suitable for a market or yard sale. But don’t worry—we’re planning a “Community Treasures Holiday Sale”, where those wonderful items will shine and find new homes!

As a registered charity, St. David’s can provide tax receipts for the fair market value of donated art included in the auction.

If you have a piece you’d like to contribute or if you’d like to learn more about what qualifies, please contact the office by Monday, November 10th.

Thank you for supporting St. David’s in this exciting new event. Together, we can celebrate creativity, community, and generosity.

Warmly, The Art Auction Committee
