June 12: Church Picnic
The annual Church Picnic with St. Andrews is scheduled for 11 am this Sunday. June 12th, 2022, at Rotary Chalet on Thorburn Road. Should the weather not cooperate, we will meet and eat inside the Chalet.
As host this year St. David’s is providing the side dishes and desserts, St. Andrews will provide the BBQ items, the hamburgers, buns and condiments. Please be sure to bring your own cutlery, dishes, and a folding chair should the weather allow the outdoor service.June 5: Annual Congregational Meeting
The Annual Congregational Meeting (ACM) will be held Sunday June 5, 2022 following the church service. It will start at 12:30 pm after a light lunch in the hall.
In-person Church Services
The COVID-19 restrictions have all been discontinued since March 14. Things have changed and we would like to welcome everyone back to church and to the Sunday Coffee Hour after church. We are going to continue to stream the service live and place it on YouTube for later viewing.
Services continue in a manner similar to before Covid. We encourage you to wear a mask if you feel more comfortable doing so and maintain physical distancing while in Church. If you feel sick, are symptomatic, or have had an exposure to COVID, please keep in mind the safety and health of others by staying home and catching the service online.Feb. 13: In-Person Church Services Are Back
St. David’s will return to in-person services this Sunday, February 13th. We will also stream the service live and place it on YouTube for later viewing. We are following the guidance of Public Health and our own Covid-19 Best Practices Committee (CBPC). Below is their direction:
Services will continue in a hybrid (in-person and virtual) format. You will not need to complete an assessment form. If we have checked your VaxPass, we will not need to do so again. If you have not had your VaxPass verified, we will need to verify it. Mandatory indoor masking is required at all times for everyone over the age of five, children four years and under are exempt from masking. Please adhere to Public Health guidelines on isolation when feeling sick, symptomatic, or if you have had an exposure to COVID. Oct. 22: Vaccine Passport
Due to provincial mandate, St. David’s will be performing Vaccine Passport Checks starting this week. If you do not have your VaxPass yet, bring your MCP card, and we can help you get it. See bulletin for details.
Oct. 9: Thanksgiving Food Drive
In support of Bridges to Hope Food Aid Centre, there will be a food drive in the parking lot of St. David’s Presbyterian Church between 10am and 2pm on Saturday, October 9th, 2021. For more information, call (709) 722-2382.
